We’ve had some trouble finding a good brownie recipe. We finally found one here, which I’ll repost here.

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for pan
6 ounces semisweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup unsweetened Dutch-process cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8″x8″ pan (a parchment sling is a good idea). Over double boiler, melt chocolate, butter and cocoa powder together, then set aside to let cool. Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together for about 4 minutes. Mix remaining dry ingredients together and set aside. Slowly add chocolate mixture to egg mixture, and beat until incorporated. Add flour and mix. Pour into the pan, and bake for 35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 15 minutes, before removing.

These are lovely, gooey brownies, and we’ll definitely be doing this again.
