Here’s another recipe from Chris’ family file. This time it’s Chris’ grandmother’s blondies recipe.

2/3 cup melted butter (margarine)
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans (we used butterscotch chips instead)
5 3/4 oz chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat well. Combine dry ingredients, and add to sugar mixture, and blend well. Stir in the pecans (butterscotch chips) , and spread into a greased 13″x9″ pan, and sprinkle with the chocolate chips. Bake 25-30 minutes. Cut into squares. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.

Now I’m not entirely sure about that 2 1/2 dozen, but however you cut them, these are good.
